Alaska is known for its rugged country and ever changing weather conditions. Temps can vary
from the 20's to the 80's with snow and rain at anytime during the hunt. Rain is typical and you can expect it to rain more
than 50% of the time. Yo as the Hunter are expected to have the Best hunting gear and clothing your budget will allow. Good,
top quality rain gear and is a must. Layered clothing that dries quickly and easily in damp conditions is essential and will
make your hunt more comfortable. You will get wet, and if Temps cool your clothing is the most essential part of keeping you
comfortable. This is Hunting in Alaska. You must be physically amd mentally ready to hunt hard, in adverse conditions, in
Big Country and sometimes in Big Weather conditions to ensure success.
Upon Booking your hunt with us, you will receive a detailed Brochure package along with a
booking application. You must read and initial each page of the Brochure and fill otu and sign the booking application. This
is your committment to us that you the Hunter understand that you must be mentally prepeared as well as physically to thoroughly
get the most out of your hunting expeience. Within the Brochure you will also find a Gear list. You the Hunter are responsible
for the items and personal gear needed within the list. Everything else will be provided for you as listed in the Brochure
including the outstanding services and hunting we Provide.
NWA Outfitters has catered to the most prominent names within the hunting industry and have done many Outdoor Television
shows in the past few years. We are all over the Web for providing outstanding Service, Guides, Food, Accommodations, and
Success rates. It is you the hunter who makes those reviews possible, but inherently it is also the hunters responsibility
to know and understand that Hunting in Alaska is like anywhere else in the world. At times it becomes tough, due to weather
conditions and other elements and you have to be prepared for THE LONG HAUL to ensure success. We will do everything we can
do to ensure you the best opportunity to harvest a grand Trophy, we expect you the hunter to be prepared to ensure your success
as well.
When hunting from our River Spike camps,
or our Remote Spike camps please understand this is Adventure hunting and that these camps placed in Areas that have been
prescouted but with any type of hunting Game animals move in and out of the Area. Here is where Patience and being mentally
prepared is a must. The Animals have no timeliine and have no particular place to be, You need to be mentally prepared for
long days glassing, calling, and when the opportunity presents itself to be ready to GO and make it happen. Getting wet, cold,
tired, sweaty, and exhausted both physically and mentally are inevitable but should add to the adventure and be looked at
as part of the overall adventure adding to the success of the hunt and are an inevitable fact. Please know that this is Big
Country, with possibility of Big Weather, long days, in Remote conditions, with great people who want you to be successful
and are doing everything they can to make it happen for you. Our Spike camps have Extreme Weather tents, Cots, Cook stoves,
coolers with great food, and your meals will be guide prepared. Sleeping bags are the hunters responsibility and should be
0 degree rated. Also these camps are not typically heated but at times the cook stove is used to TAKE THE CHILL OFF, that
is why you need to have the best Gear possible and The Best rain gear is essential.
