Autumn Bear Hunts are in August,September and October. Daylight
is diminishing, the temperature is cooling and bear-attracting salmon are in the tributaries of the rivers. The Brown Bears
harvestd in
the area are from 7'6" feet to 9 feet. Largest to Date is a 10'-10" squared Monster and most
average in the 8' range.The blonde color phase occurs often in the local Brown Bear population. Our Bear Hunting in our areas
allow for the Harvest of 2 Bears by each Hunter every Calendar year unlike some other areas in Alaska. Due to Our heavy
population of Bears it is very likely to see a good numbers of Bears during your hunt. This is a fantastic Opportunity to
Harvest a 2 Brown Bears for the Price other places in Alaska you will pay for one. We offer 12 Brown Bear Hunts
a year to ensure a Top quality Hunting Adventure. These Hunts are 8 Hunting days in length and are done by Spot and Stalk
in the Hills. Remote Spike camps are primarily used and your guide will be preparing your meals and are moderate in physical
nature and all abilities can be catered too.
Our
Remote Spike camps are serviced by our supercub aircraft exclusively. These camps are only accessible by air and can be up
to as many as 40 miles from our base camp. These camps are very remote and are checked on by our supercub, weather permitting
every 2-3 days during your 11 day hunt. These camps typically have Cabelas Extreme tents and your guide will be preparing
all of the meals. These camps are placed in Traditonal areas where Brown Bears frequent and are known to be. Trips back to
our base camp are very limited due to logistics. These camps will add much adventure to you hunt yet are comfortable and you
will be well taken care of by your professional guide in the field. These camps have a very good success rate and are used
frequently. In 2011 13 Hunters took 14 Brown Bears. This is Adventure Brown Bear hunting and you must be physically and mentally
prepared to put forth the effort. We will do everything we can control to give you the best opportunity for success. Patience
and a willingness by the Hunter to GO when it's time is a must to ensure the best opportunity for success. Physiaclly and
Mentally.
Please be aware that hunting
in Alaska means, Big weather, Big hunting, in Big country. We at NWA Outfitters will do everything in our control to make
your hunt a great adventure but you the hunter must be physically prepared for long days hunting sometimes under adverse conditions.
Alaska is known for its ever changing weather but you can expect it to rain up to and exceeding 50% of the time. Our guides
