Another great Brown Bear
Northern Wilderness Adventures specializes in guided hunts that are outfitted
and catered for our guests. NWA prides itself on being a quality, not quantity outfitter!
Our base camp, Marabou
Landing is surrounded by well-populated, prime moose habitat. Hunting is based from Marabou Landing. River skiffs
are used to access day hunting areas. River skiffs and our SuperCub "Carhartt" provide service to temporary spike
camps.
Spring Bear Hunts and Autumn Brown Bear hunts are similar in service and methods. Spring
hunting from Marabou Landing is during the long daylight of May, up to 20 hours of hunting light per day. This is also
the breeding time for area Brown Bears.
Autumn Bear Hunts are in September and October. Daylight
is diminishing, the temperature is cooling and bear-attracting salmon are in the tributaries of the rivers.
The Brown Bears we harvest are from seven feet to just under ten feet. The blonde color phase occurs
often in the local Brown Bear population.
Dall Sheep hunts are in combination with Black Bear and exclusively
from remote spike camps. These hunts are very physical in nature, but the rewards can be nothing short of spectacular.
No shortage of Sheep and Black Bears in the areas we target!
All outfitted, guided and catered hunting
packages incluse Round trip airfare from anchorage to Marabou landing and return, Hunting License and tags for Hunt purchased.
Also include field dressing, skinning, caping, meat packing from the field. Fleshing and Salting of hides
of Trophies available upon request for an additional cost. Please
